After I’ve sent an e-mail to someone, is there any way to retrieve it to edit it before they can receive it, or is it too late once you hit send?

Most of the business world relies upon communications between people who are not physically in the same building, neighbourhood, or even country. To set up and attend a meeting in person, a phone call, or conference call can be inconvenient, time-consuming, and pricey. An e-mail however, provides a way to exchange data between two or more people and is generally far less costly than physical meetings or phone calls. Email is also proven very popular amongst younger generations, in which it is mostly used to socialize with pen pals or friends. And as computer technology continues to develop its features and practicality, the more it’s accepted in our everyday lifestyles.
Writing an email is similar to writing a letter, with the exception that it’s electronically sent via internet, and not manually with a stamp. Also instead of using a residential address, you send it to an email address. In addition, you can include a subject header which allows the correspondent to know the nature of the email. You can also enter addresses in the Cc and Bcc box. Cc means Carbon copy, it allows you to send the e-mail to more than one address, everybody gets a copy of the message, and all recipients can see who else the message has been sent to. Bcc means blind carbon copy, like carbon copies, they are used to send copies of an email to more than one address, except a Bcc doesn’t allow the other recipients to be aware of the who else has also received the same email. Both are very useful for different situations. Bcc is best suited for cases such as when you send a message to a group of friends or colleagues; you can ensure that other peoples’ addresses don’t get forwarded all across the Internet. Another good use for Bcc is in the prevention of spam, we often receive unwanted and annoying emails sent to us from unfamiliar people, of which invade our privacy with junk-mail through a letter box. However this can be avoided through Bcc. The body text is then written of which it can then be edited through choice of fonts, colours, size and formatting.
